Lucky Fabb 2013 Pre-Conference Events

     

I had an amazing time and the Lucky Magazine Pre-Conference events with Jane Irredale and Paul Mitchell.  These events were a great ice breaker to the conference the next day.  I met amazing bloggers and had an amazing time testing out products and getting a little pampered. My travel buddy, my cousin Carolyne and I checked into the Renaissance Hotel in Times Square.  I love the location and it's a really cool hotel.

At Bryant Park NYC

First stop, the Jane Irredale event at the Refinery Hotel on the rooftop.  A chic and luxe location, the vibe was that of a city social scene. Lots of mixing and mingling. Everyone was so stylish and friendly! The questions of the night "Where are you from?" "What's the name of your blog?" and "Is this your first FABB?" As a fashion professional you felt like you belonged.  Usually when I go to events I feel like I am doing too much...but here it was welcomed! 

The bloggers were able to choose from the collection of new fall lip colors.  I chose the "Renee" a creamy matte bubble gum pink from the PureMoist Collection. It felt soft and nourishing.  I chose a color and let the make-up artist apply it but not before I used the sugar and butter lip exfoliator (I LOVE it). Next, she lined and filled in my lips with the lip definer pencil. Then finally before adding the lip color she added a touch of white/pink highlighter pencil to the middle of my lip. After the application was done I received the lip look to try at home and I love it!

A few blocks over I attended the Paul Mitchell event at the Raika Studio.  I was given an appointment to get a dry style my stylist was Nina, a fun-loving- wand- perfecting-fly hair stylist.  She hooked me up! She gave me beautiful waves!

Loved that COAT! She was sweet. I liked her blog concept of her and her friend Stephanie sharing style from two different places in the country.  She's also a fashion writer living in NYC

She's from Rochester, NY (the flower city) We talked about her lifestyle blog and how she recently styled Rochester Fashion Week!

All done! What a blast. I can't wait until tomorrow, but for now it's time to have fun in the city!

We first went to dinner at Negril in the Village a Caribbean Cuisine Restaurant. I loved it!

Last stop of the night was The Blue Note NYC. This was a surprise my cousin planned and it was amazing!!!

We heard the Dizzy Hillespie Alumni All-Stars & 96th Birthday Celebration with Roy Hargrove and Cyrus Chestnut.

I am excited to meet more bloggers tomorrow and see more of NYC!
