On April 1, 2017 Miss April Fashion Girl was founded as a pre teen brand with a mission to teach fashion design through sewing classes and camps. In addition to classes and camps, the brand manufactures its own line of products to undergird the heartfelt mission of its founder. In late 2021 the brand opened a sewing studio and flagship store in Talladega Alabama to further the mission of the brand and fill a void in the community for youth to learn the fundamentals of garment construction while instilling confidence and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Affectionately known as "Ms. April," April began her fashion career as a fashion blogger sharing what's in fashion, where to buy it and how to style it. Throughout her career she has traveled to fashion events such as New York Fashion Week to explore emerging trends in order to cultivate them into her brand & blog. April was named one of the 25 most stylish people in Raleigh, NC by Carolina Style Magazine and interviewed for Midtown Magazine and Cary Magazine. With an extreme love for fashion April easily transitioned to Fashion Editor for Wake Living Magazine in 2016. She has been seen on The Wendy Williams Show and national publication, Style Watch Magazine. She has also worked as the style contributor for My Carolina Talk, on CBS North Carolina where she was the style correspondent. She also authors fashion, style & beauty publications. Her styling profession continued as a fashion stylist for Crabtree Valley Mall, one of the top 100 malls in the country. Now, April focuses her fashion talents on children as a children's clothing and toy designer.
